What shows up when someone searches my name?
It depends on who searches, from where and in which language. This check uses Google for the chosen country, signed out, and an AI with no extra context. It is a stranger's view: the client, recruiter or journalist looking you up for the first time.
How the score is calculated
An indicative score for one search, from 0 to 100. The audit repeats this for every variation of the name, in every language, and on more engines.
- 01First result of yours at #1: 25 points; at #2 or #3: 18; from #4 to #10: 10.
- 02Each result of yours: 6 points, up to 30.
- 03Top three without other people: 20 points.
- 04Each outdated or negative result: minus 8, down to minus 24.
- 05The AI describes you correctly: 25 points. Without an AI answer the scale adjusts.
What is stored
Nothing about you is kept on the server. The name is sent to the search engine and the AI to get the answer and is not logged. Only an anonymous counter per connection is kept, for the three-checks-a-day limit. The last result stays only in this browser tab until you close it, so coming back to the page does not use another check.
Frequently asked questions
- Why are the results different from what I see on my phone?
- Google personalises by session, history and location. Here the search runs without an account and from a server, as close as possible to what a stranger sees.
- Is the score the same as in the audit?
- No. Here you tag the results; in the audit I classify them, with 20 results per search, several searches and several AIs, and every point comes with an action.
- Can I check someone else's name?
- Only with that person's permission. It is the condition for using the tool and for requesting the audit.
